I am presenting Ground3D-LMM at the 2nd Visual Intelligence International Postdoctoral and Doctoral Academic Frontier Symposium on October 17. Announcement ↗
About Me
I am a Postdoctoral Associate at Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI), working with Prof. Fahad Shahbaz Khan and Prof. Rao Muhammad Anwer.
I received my Ph.D. in Engineering from Nanjing University of Science and Technology, advised by Prof. Jian Yang (IAPR Fellow) and Prof. Zhenyong Fu. Previously, I was a Research Assistant at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, advised by Prof. Chang Wen Chen (IEEE Fellow; SPIE Fellow; MAE).
My research interests lie in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Computer Vision (CV), with special interest in:
- Multimodal Understanding: Exploring Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) that integrate image, language, and 3D information for generalizable understanding, building on prior work in zero-shot learning.
- Spatial Intelligence: Developing the ability to understand spatial structures and relationships, reason across perspectives, and maintain a coherent understanding of the physical world.
- Embodied Intelligence: Exploring World Models (WM) / World Action Models (WAM) to predict how environments evolve and how actions shape them, supporting planning and interaction in the physical world.
Together, these directions connect multimodal understanding with spatial intelligence to support perception, planning, and action in the physical world.
